Oil on Clutch

In my 1973 2002, when I let the clutch pedal or the transmission will engage abruptly as if I had popped the clutch. I know when it is about to happen if, as I release the clutch pedal, the car still is not moving at the point where the transmission would engage if it were going to do it smoothly. The problem is getting worse since it now happens almost continually. The dealer has no idea what the problem is.

That’s oil on the clutch, Louis. Determine where the oil is coming from, solve that leak, then replace the clutch. Have the flywheel lightly machined.
