Hot and Cold Weather Tips

Hot Weather Tip:

At least once a week, after your car is warm, turn the heater control to the HOT position for at least two minutes. Why? So that the water will regularly circulate through the valve, hoses and heater. If you don’t? When a cold day comes, you might not be able to move a crudded-up heater control.

Cold Weather Tip:

At least once a week, turn on your air conditioning for at least two minutes. Why? The freon gas in the air conditioning system contains a lubricant which helps to insure that the seals and working parts stay as they should. If you don’t? When a hot day comes, the freon might have escaped or moisture in the system might have rusted the delicate reed valves in the compressor.
