I have a problem with a 1975 2002 and surging if I park the car for a short time with the engine fully warmed up, then resume driving.
The car bucks like a horse if you give it anything less than full throttle for a couple of miles. This can be quite embarrassing if you’re trying to demonstrate the ‘ ultimate driving machine.” It seems to be more evident in summer months.

Check to see if the carb has warped sections. They should fit flush, with no gaps at all. Replace warped sections or lap them in on a fine grit on an absolutely flat surface. Tech Ed.
