BMW 2002 Timing Chain Tip

I recently had a timing chain replaced on my 1968 BMW 2002 and saved $100 on the job because my mechanic used a timing chain with a master link instead of the timing chain that comes from BMW without a master link.

The chains are made by the same company with the same strength and endurance. The master link enables the chain to be replaced without removing the covers on the front of the engine, saving you the $100 which you can use toward the purchase of a new set of tires, or whatever.
