Leaking Oil Drain Plug

If the oil drain plug on your BMW 2002tii keeps leaking, BMW dealers are authorized to replace them with a type that does not leak, according to a factory bulletin.

This information also applies to the BMW 2002. The problem was a drain plug that was not correctly made, thus not allowing the sealing ring to work properly. For your information, correct torque on this drain plug is 6 mkp or 43.2 foot pounds.
