BMW 2002tii Oil Consumption

Armand Scapicchio inquired about the fact that his 1974 BMW 2002tii was using a half-quart of oil every thousand miles.

Question: Is this normal?

Answer: Unfortunately, yes.

Many 2002tii use a quart of oil every thousand miles. More research is being done on this and we hope to be able to report more later.
